Interview with Haris Shabir International Business Developer Deceuninck

What specific strategies does Deceuninck employ to enter and adapt to markets as diverse as Latin America, Europe and emerging markets, taking into account cultural, economic and regulatory differences?

Deceuninck lleva a cabo minuciosos estudios de mercado con sus equipos y socios locales para comprender las características únicas de cada región, incluidas las preferencias culturales, las condiciones económicas y los marcos normativos. This allows us to tailor our product portfolio and marketing strategies to regional preferences.
For example, in Latin America we focus on profitability, while in Europe we emphasize sustainability and design.

How has globalization influenced Deceuninck's strategies for developing new markets and expanding its international presence?

Globalization has had a significant impact on Deceuninck's strategies for market expansion and international growth. By identifying global trends such as the growing demand for sustainable and energy efficient products, Deceuninck develops innovative products that resonate with a global consumer base.
Thanks to globalization, we see that people around the world are developing similar preferences. For example, dark laminate is becoming more and more common in Europe, but also in South America.

How do you see the development and evolution of PVC profiles in the Latin American market, and what do you see as the main opportunities and challenges in this region?

The Latin American market for PVC profiles is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, driven by urbanization, rising incomes and the need for sustainable, high-quality windows. Significant opportunities exist to expand our market share by offering our innovative, high-quality PVC products.
The main challenges include competition from other materials, such as aluminum, and the lack of enforceable energy efficiency regulations. However, with targeted marketing efforts and collaboration with local governments to promote energy efficiency, we can overcome these challenges.

Given your experience in the current Latin American market, are there any aspects that have particularly surprised you and that you consider significant for future business development in other markets?

In Latin America, it is crucial to build strong and lasting relationships with our customers and partners. A notable trend in recent years is the growing emphasis on sustainability, which is likely to influence other emerging markets as well. In addition, offering high-quality products at competitive prices remains essential for success in the region.
I was also surprised by the general lack of awareness of the benefits of PVC among construction companies and architects. It is vital to collaborate with industry associations and competitors to improve understanding of the benefits of PVC, such as its durability, energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Addressing this lack of awareness will strengthen our market presence and support future business growth.
