Who issues it?

It is issued by the headquarters of the World BASC Organization, although the process is carried out by local BASC chapters that are authorized to audit and certify companies. Validity and format of the certificate:
It is renewed annually and issued on special security paper with a unique code. This code includes information such as the country, BASC chapter, certificate number, headquarters (main or branch), and how many times it has been renewed.

What is it for?

It allows companies to demonstrate that they have a reliable system for managing risks in international trade (such as security and control), which helps them build trust with trading partners, shipping companies, customs authorities, and others.

The BASC certificate
The BASC certificate is issued by the Word BASC Organization headquarters and is processed by each of the BASC chapters that are members of the organization, which are authorized to carry out the audit and certification process in accordance with WBO policies. It is renewed annually in accordance with the established provisions.

Features
Certificates are issued consecutively on special security paper that identifies their authenticity and validity. BASC-certified companies are identified with a unique and irreplaceable code that recognizes them for meeting the requirements and compliance of the BASC Control and Security management system.

The BASC code consists of the following information: Country code of the certifying authority, certificate number, number of certifications per year, and whether the certificate corresponds to the main company or a branch.
